Pearl Doris Wintch 2/13/1923 ~ 10/5/2006 Pearl Doris Wintch, age 83, of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 5, 2006 in Salt Lake City, UT. Doris was born February 13, 1923 in Idaho Falls, ID to John William and Pearl Day Whitehead.

Doris, "Grandma Darlin'", will be remembered fondly for her selfless service to others and her ability to always have a kind word for everyone. She was known and loved for her poetry readings and sense of humor. Doris was always a hard worker, whether working for others or for her family and herself. She will be missed deeply.

Doris is survived by daughter, Trudy (Val) Parks; sons, Karl Bennion, Kenny Wintch; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband Lowell Wintch, previous husband William Ellis Bennion, Jr. and parents, John and Pearl Whitehead.

Funeral services for Doris will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2006, 12:00 noon at the Wilford 1st Ward, 3179 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT. Friends may call Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, UT and at the Wilford 1st Ward Tuesday morning from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to the services.
